158,700 miles plus boost = boom?
I have a civic with a d16y8 with 158,700 miles and I want to do a junkyard turbo setup boosting around 7-8 psi. I am curious if this is just a terrible idea or if it will be okay?
Ive also heard that I should do a compression test if/ before I boost, what readings should I get for my engine?

Yes you should do a compression test just incase, but I know several people here are boosting on 180,000-250,000 mile motors.

On the topic, I got 175, 185, 185, 195 when I tested mine. I'm gonna boost it and see what happens. Think those are close enuff to be safe? The low one isn't TOO low and I'm guessing I've just got some carbon or something in the high one, so I'm thinking I'm good to go.
Boost it. As long as you're conservative it'll be fine.
Possibility for the headgasket to let go on you but that's about due anyways with in the next 50,000.
Personally, if it's running good now, I wouldn't worry about it at all.
