Default 15 psi

Ok. i have decided to build one of my engines to handle 15 psi. i have a d16z6 and a d16a6. the a6 is already out of the car, and i plan on selling the car that the z6 is in. i figure i can get more if it has a vtec engine, wahoo, ya know. so would it be easier/cheaper to do one over the other? id like to do it for as little as possible, of course. what do i need?

Most importants are
Turbo
450cc injectors
FMU or VAFC
Intercooler
Mising link
and you have to Lower your compression ratio somehow otherwise you/ll blow your internals

i run 17PSI but i have a small turbo K03

I'd personally go hondata if your built and going for higer boost. Or some kind of rom editor program. IMO ditch the Hack and Fmu setups (shouldnt be using a FMU Setup Anyway ). How much power you looking for? I'm planning before summer going to build up my y7 to make 270-300hp.

sorry i should have been more specific. i was talking about building the engine, i am planning on rebuilding one of them, stock if possible, maybe some better rods, or whatever won't be able to handle 15 psi. i already have a 14b, a cc fmic, dsm 450's, complete msd ignition(not sure if i really need it), and i guess thats it. nothing is installed. i would like to see around 250 whp.

hell yeah dogg. i still think we should put the a6 back in the si and rebuild the z6. i'd say new rods, pistons, and get the crank micro polished and it should hold up. you'll need a standalone like hondata or zdyne.

also we are putting this in my 88 crx hf. would a si wiring harness work on that car? i've heard rumors that you HAVE to use the 88 hf wiring harness.

on another note, hf's are light as ----. i can pick the back end of mine off the ground 1 foot

I agree with you GT. But people are always content in keeping their stock sleeves for some reason. Do a good port and polish job on the head. Give it some more flow power for all that air.

I cant wait to build.

sleeving sounds good, but i wasnt tryin to break myself over this build, im still gonna have to do some more things to get the car im putting it in, in the shape i want it. block posting looks prety inexpensive. and are you saying ima need after market rods and pistons, or just new ones? im trying to stay under 1g for this build, is it possible o and yea we are putting it in your 88 hf. man thats weird i went from a 91 hatch to a 90 rex to a 89 hatch now to a 88 rex. thats weird

sure if you have the ecu. and for the record, the a6 bottom end is the best of the Dseries
