14b turbo wastgate and oil question

Ok i bought a 14b off of this guy on the internet.... I took it apart and its in good condition www.geocities.com/dastinker8 .. there some pics of it. question 1. It seems like the wastegate doesnt wanna fit right? like the arm wont reach the flapper arm.
question 2. How do you get the wastegate apart?
question 3. How many vacuum lines are on this turbo and where do they go? I see one on the wastegate.. one on BOV. and thats all.
question 4. I dont feel like tapping into lines and oil pan for my turbo. Is there any other way to get oil to the turbo? Like put a pan of oil with 2 lines running to it. i mean does the spinnin of the trubo create suction to pull the oil and if so would my idea work.. As for the water... does that mean Radiator fluid... or what?
question 5. Stock psi set for the 14b is like 7-8 psi right so how do you get that down to 5-6.
question 6. Where does the vacuum line run from the BOV?

if you guys can answer then that woul help.. I got a 95 civic coupe. I do have a descnet knowledge of cars but not to familiar with turbos and dont know anyone with turbos.. THey all use Nitrous... Im sure ill have more questions after you answer these. lol. Thanks Brian.

Re:14b turbo wastgate and oil question

i was reading other peoples stuff an i was seeing that making the arm longer or cutting the spring will reduce pressure. Someone explain to me how this works. i mean if you want the flapper open then why not just leave it all the way open and like keep it that way?

Re:14b turbo wastgate and oil question

u leave the flapper open u get no boost thats why.

uhm i hope u marked the compressor turbine with the shaft when u took it apart. some people say it doesnt matter, but it does and will put excess wear on your bearings.

read more stuff on this board and u will find out all the answers to your questions.

also buy this.

best book i ever bought. i have read it 3 times and im still learning.

can anyone help me with the question on how to get the wastegate apart... or whether we have any physicists in here to answer my question about the suction of the oil throught the turbo.. or whether the oil is forced through ti ..... Thanks

Re:14b turbo wastgate and oil question

im pretty sure its forced through it by the pressure created by the oil pump...i dont think the seperate pan idea is gonna work...just my 2 cents

u have to tap. there is no going around it.

Re:14b turbo wastgate and oil question

Well I guess you could make a second pan but since the oil is just running through the bearings and not on any turbines there is nothing "pulling" it in there. Therefore you would need a second oil pump, oil cooler, a whole bunch of other crap etc. etc. so it would just be a really big pain in the ass. If you are unsure of how to tap the pan or the lines get a spare pan and practice on it. As far as lines go, not sure how you'd be able to practice it.
OR maybe someone one here would be willing to write up a tech article on how to run the oil lines for your homemade turbo setup. :)

Oil lines are pretty simple guys.. if you look through the projects you can kinda get the idea.

You can go ghetto, and use barb fittings with hose clamps (high pressure line)

or do it in stainless braided line, using all -an fittings.
each turbo setup is differnt on the inlet feed, so it would be stupid to do a write up with so many different turbos.

ok tapping is so simple. just drill a hole screw in fitting and attach nut on other side and add a little jb weld if nessesary.

TAKE OUT METal SHAVINGS THO haha
