14b oilline problem solve.

Well I was having some problems with my 14b/HF combo with the feed oilline setup. The thread on the banjo bolt is impossible to match up and I couldn't find that fucker anywhere. 5/8ths was too big and 1/4 fitting would thread in but was kinda iffy and loose. I ordered one for Stevemode and it was just a double side male 1/4 fitting. My oilline is 1/8th and the 1/4 would thread in but was kinda loose. I know Fook had problems with his oilline and the piece he got from steve. So after i made my 2nd trip to True Values hardware store, it wasn't until I got home that I figured something out. I had a female conmpression fitting (1/8th female to accept a 1/4) line that planned ot use it a different way.. Then started to think just use the stock banjo oiline setup and cut and put that fitting on the stock oilline. Overall I'm pretty happy and it look nice and clean and it doesn't budge one bit and my restrictor valve is right in the perfect spot. Also I didn't want the oilline right next to the manifold like the Stealthmode setup does. Also to clock these 14b's are a pain in the ass with the big c clips and v band and only one mount for the actuator unlike the garrett T3 that you can turn the compressor housing and have multiple spots to mount it.

Get a dremel, you will never regret that decision. Ever wonder why everyone who has one loves it? ;)
You'll find uses for it you never knew existed. You can even port your girlfriend's ------- if you really wanted

No I just said you could if you wanted to, but why someone would ever want to do that I don't know. You have to know someone with a dremel, just do it, it will help your turbo spool faster and you will feel much better knowing it's port matched.

the reason you have troubles with it, is that stealthmode sells a 7/16" standard fitting to fit in a metric hole, and it don't work.

Good job on the modification there. However the restrictor is kinda overkill at this point. If you look inside the banjo fitting, its also a restrictor, the hole is tiny to cut down oil flow to the turbo. I welded my 7/16" fitting right onto the end of it.

while we were talking about porting hf manis, do std manis need to be ported as well??? I remember someone telling me that the primary openings are larger on the std mani and do not need to be ported... is this true?????

I was thinking of welding it but didn't want to melt the banjo line. Well the charge pipe will be dealt with after I'm back from socal.
