14b downpipe on CRX
 

Ok...finally after almost a year, i got my adapter plate made for my hf manny. My biggest question (and concern) right now, is what to use as my downpipe. I can't seem to find any autoparts stores that can get the flange to fit on my 14b, and i've heard people say that the DP section will hit my crossmember. Anyone got some ideas, or better yet, anyone with a boosted CRX wanna tell me how they did this?

You got a few choices.
1) take the stock 02 sensor housing to a metal shop and get them to flame cut/ plasma cut/machine you one out of 3/8 or thicker plate. Don't use thinner, It warps and wont seal right.

2) Go to road/race engineering and order one for 25 bucks

3) go to the classified section and order one from BMC.

Then make your own dp with mandrel, or crush bends if you dont have a source OR go to an exhuast shop and have them make one up for you.

The last picture is if you decided to keep the o2 housing and just want to make a dp. But on a Crx you have a cross member in the way and that is why we make custom o2 housings so we dont have to hack the cross member.

Thanks guys...oh, trust me...i did go through all the turbo build ups. Unfortunately where i live, i don't have access to a garage, welder, torch, or any of the stuff that i used to. Hell, when i work on my car it's on the side of the street, cause i don't even have a driveway ::) I could probably find someone to make an adapter for me though. Thanx! :D
