ill be buidling a d16 this winter, forged internals with a stage 2 cam, i was wondering if i ran my 14b to its highest possible psi, would i even get close to 300whp ? my buddies making 210whp with a k03 and we all know how tiny k03s are so i figgured it was possible but i jsut wnat to know if its possible or if its worth it to spend my money on a big 16g or a 20g thx. and what the highest psi possible u think ?

 

Get a big 16G or 20G.That 14b will start to produce more heat then power and lead to other issues.

 

240whp is it's limit. 16G and 20G blow a lot of hot air, too, but they do it at a higher airmass.

 

around 240 is the highest ive seen but your pushing that turbo wayy past its efficiency level. its perfect for a 200 ~ level.
even most t3 turbos find it difficult to get close to 300

you gotta be carfull buying a 16g though, alot of people just port there 14b's and call them 16g's i've seen it to many times.

 

u can also tell by the compressor wheel. there is a major difference between the compressor wheels.

 

am i better just getting a 20g then ?since its easier to find and bigger ? figger ill go that route ...

 

what you need to look for is something that has a td06 housing...

 

ill take anyhing that bolts in without having to re rape everythin to fit on it, are td06 4bolt 14b flange ? and if so what do thsoe come off etc etc
