not really an engine build forum so mod can move this if its in the wrong forum ..

ganna run a little budget setup on my hatch of just parts layin around and i was just wondering how much hp these buttom ends can handle .. i know thats a vague question, im ganna be running a 1.7 gsr block with a integra xsi head and tranny .. arp rod bolts arp head studs and a cosmetic h/g ..new rings and bearings, and fresh hone .. wouldnt be reving it that high .. prolly 8400 max .. wil be running a gm4 turbo with equal length mani .. how much do you think it could handle on that setup i was hoping to hit 300 on the stock bottom end (other than arp harware) ... it seems like a realistic goal ... does anybody know the highest hp on a 1.7 buttom end (stock bore) ??

 

its only as strong as you make it, from the factory untouched tuned 300whp is VERY safe, in the hands of someone that doesnt check all clearances and just basically slaps the bottom end together who knows.

 

lol not slapped together .. and will obviously be broken in first .. this isnt my first assemble .. well on a 1.7 it is but i always follow spec
