Re:1/4 mile time

i know i figured if i get it tuned, some slicks, and a better reaction time i could be in real low 14's don't ya think

Re:1/4 mile time

should not be a problem to get into low 14's

Nice, what kind car are you driving?

Re:1/4 mile time

Reaction time has absolutly NOTHING to do with 1/4 mile time. You could sit there for 5 MINUTES and still hit that time. It starts timing when you trip the lights.

What you need to work on is the 60' time. Get that down to 2.0 - 2.1 and you should be low 14's.

what rpm did you launch at?

Re:1/4 mile time

your 60ft time kinda sucks, I bet with a better launch and some better tires you could break 13's..

Re:1/4 mile time

this just gave me hope of running 14's with my setup. Just waiting to fine tune my afc hack on the dyno next week and wait till may when track opens up. If i don't sell my kit that is. I always wondered what kind of times stock d15b7 would run pushing 8-9 psi.

Looking good. Try working on you 60 ft time and you should see some improvement ;)

Re:1/4 mile time

little more pratice you can easily get low 14's, the MPH is there for it.

Re:1/4 mile time

take your tires off for weight reduction and you got high 13's easy ;D

reaction time has nothing to do with ET

oops someone already said that.

Re:1/4 mile time

you also have to be careful looking at the mph and saying that it is good for a so and so time because if you have a horrible 60ft with you spinning a lot, you'll end up with a higher mph at the traps, so then if you get a solid 60ft time your peak mph will drop accordingly.

Eh... I've personally ran a 2.017 on aquatreads (they came on the car) and my car has no real power, and 185 tires aren't the best for traction either. He just needs to work on his launch a little bit, and he'll be doing great. If he ran some sticky tires, he could possibly hit 13's.

Re:1/4 mile time

i think with better launch i could see low 14's i would be very pleased with breaking the 13's. i couldn't launch like about 2500 or 3000rpm if i did it would do nothing but spin like hell
