Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

Are you running a wideband and a narrowband? Or are you just wanting to run 2 for an OBDII set-up?

If you are OBDII then the second one needs to read a lower level than the first, like it would be if there was a cat.

If you are doing the first thing I mentioned then you can just run them close to each other. It will not harm anything.

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

iunno if it narrow or not....im just bolting stock 02 sensors up...back to back....

i dont understand what your question is

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

I think he is trying to fit two O2 sensors in the same whole. :S

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

IIRC the 2nd O2 is for checking the cat converter...or something. Just put the main O2 sensor in the 1st hole, the secondary in the 2nd. If an O2 sensor is less than 12" or so behind another (or some type of obstruction), it may not read very accurately. If you can, 'splay' them in the pipe, do not put them in the same line, like one at 2 o'clock possition, the other at 10 o'clock possition behind it.

thanks man....i really appreciate that.....

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

The second O2 is for 1 pair of cylinders, the PR3 and PW0 use 2 O2 sensors. Look it up on hondata. I put my friends 2 o2 sensors right inline. No problems on 9.5lbs with a b16 on an fmu. Runs low 12's all day.

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

two holes = a wideband and your stock o2, ;)

Well iunno...my car runs like ----.....when i get to 5 psi....my engine light comes on....code 3 ( mapsensor)
and it spits and sputters.....

the damn car is slower than it was b4 turbo....

it takes the boost a while to build up to 5 psi.....it doesnt pull..

something is wrong......

and wtf is check valve

What are you using for fuel management?

turbozexcrxman 08-02-2007 08:02 PM

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

I wasnt using any.....

but now im "trying to install 450's"
it looks like i gotta bore them out.....
i dont have a dremel tool......

and im installing my fuel riser too.

biscuit 08-02-2007 08:14 PM

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

Be careful boosting with no fuel control man. Might as well wait until you get that chipped.

biscuit 08-02-2007 08:15 PM

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

Or at least throw an fmu on there. :)

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

well im trying to put these ------- 450's in and the o rings at the bottom of the injector wont go into the intake.......i thought i jus put them in.....from what i heard....
this is really pissing me off

You're an absolute ------- grade A moron if you think boosting with no fuel management would result in a great turnout... You suck at life and need to re-read EVERY STICKY in the FI and Fuel Management forums. :S

Twat. :-*

Ok well i hooked the 450's up and the car runs like complete ----.....it wont stay idle...itll just die.....
so i hooked my old ones up...and im connecting the FPR.....

im buying me some RC 420 or sumthin

iLLstate 08-02-2007 11:10 PM

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

what the ---- is wrong with you :S, every reply that has been givin to you has had your answer everytime, GET SOME FUEL MANAGEMENT. of course you car is going to run like ----, it wasnt meant to have 450's

turbozexcrxman 08-02-2007 11:24 PM

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

THEN WTF is management?????
every ------- topic on here that ive heard.....
is people running a stock motor with 450's and a FMU
with 5 psi

Im getting the chipped ECU in a few weeks.....

i figured that the goddamn injectors and FMU would be fine on 5 pounds
for the mean time...

No you havent ever heard of people running 450s and an fmu, you cant do that. You need fuel management i.e. crome or uberdata, thats what you chip your ecu with. didnt you the stickies, cuz that would be a good start

bigdturbo 08-05-2007 05:20 PM

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

Damn dude! Just put the stock injectors in and install the FMU. Done deal. only 5 psi? What's the sense!

Re: 02 sensors on downpipe.....

most likely there is nothing wrong w/ the 450's so dont spend the cash on new 420's. listen to these guys and read more. if you use a fmu then you use your stock injectors and if you use the 450's then use some sort of management (either the chipped ecu 8) or afc hack :-X). don't expect your ---- to hold together too long if you don't use proper fuel management and ignition timing- especially when 5psi isn't enough any more. if you go with the fmu instead of the chipped ecu then you better put in some check valves or a missing link to the map sensor or you'll probably live in limp mode every time it sees boost. btw- if you buy a new fmu and new missing link, you've already spent as much money as it would have cost you to pick up an ecu from here or a number of other forums. doin it the right way isn't really that much more than cutting the corners.
