whiteybends/pie cuts 101 DONE!!!

who needs whiteybends I got an airhammer ;D , I've given up on this idea. all that damn hammering and the bitch still doesn't fit. I was this close to ripping out the A/C and I remembered the coolest it got last week was 83. Beside I think I would have choked the motor high in the RPM band with that much of a restriction.

I don't have much room between the outlet and the A/C compressor

can someone please help meI just ordered a flange for the bitch-ass turbo but I'm sure gonna need to make a sharp ass turn for the DP. I need to figure out how to make a pie cut, I went dumpster diving yesterday so I got plenty of pipe to practice, I got everything I need except a clue.

What don't you get? Do you have a chop saw and a welder? if so, just cut your pipe at about a 35-45º angle to start and adjust the angle based upon how tight you need to make it. Cut as many as you need. Start with about 6 or so and just weld the pieces that you cut together.

What do you mean "space out the cuts". Start with one cut at a 45º angle then do a straight cut. Now you have 2 pie pieces. Rinse, repeat.

I think I figured it out, the sharper the turn.....the bigger the angle on the cut.... I also noticed.... the bigger the angle the more oblong the hole, that part is what had me baffled for a little bit. I just wished my flange was here, HEY, how thick do those flanges come? I'm thinking I can FAB the bend with out the flange, thanks for the help so far though.
