what welder needed to fabricate a turbo manifold

hey guys, just wondering would a tact welder be enough to fabricate a turbo manifold or would i need a mig welder???

buy a welder just to make a manifold? so welder + supplies + time = a whole lot of wastes resources

just buy one and save yourself some headache

My tig paid for itself the first setup I made with it.

There is a such thing as a tack welder, it's called a spot welder. since you can't discern between the two you should not buy a welder, cause chances are you've never done hard work before. welding is hot and messy but the completed product is what you make of it.

I bought my own welder to make my isht up but I've made a lot of other stuff with my welder also, don't just buy the wlder to make the manifold, but if you do buy one buy a nice one so I can buy it off of you at the used price.

the guy doesnt know the difference between a spot welder and a tig, i HIGHLY doubt he is going to be selling manifolds to make money.

I am pretty sure you don't need a welder...I think you can just solder and heatshrink a manifold.

You should try the solder and heatshrink on my Harness :-*

you realize the chances that I messed that harness up are like 60% right?

you still havent sent me the pics and parts list for the super duper stethoscope.

well the reason i ask is not that id be doing the weldinmg plus ive looked into a turbo manifold for my car and they cost $1200+ AUD

and my mates dad has a tact or a tig welder im not %100 sure, hes getting a mig welder soon so i might just wait till then, he offered to fabricate the manifold for me

CAnt I just crimp and heatshrink the manifold?

wats up with thid tact welder....to tact weld is a action to prelimenary put tact welds and get in to place for final assembly... :y

I think Fook was kidding about heat shrinking and soldering a manifold together. Or is he?

fluxcore is the minimum required

Re: what welder needed to fabricate a turbo manifold

lol use alminuim foil, a hair dryer and a candle??? and some super glue

on a more serious note, ive tracked down a gasless mig welder gonna use that

what the hell is a gasless mig welder? Its a wire feed/flux welder

Haha, gasless MIG => oxymoron. Appropriate term would be gasless wire feed welder which uses flux core wire.
