yes you can use that machine but your welds are not going to look as pretty as a tig welded manifold! but it iwll work ihave never really tried to run stainless wire throgh my mig but i know i trided to run aluminum through it and the wire kept binding up cuz its so soft and its got to try to push it all the way through from the machine out the handle!!!
but good luck man with you manifold.. i am makin a down pipe here in the next couple days just mild steel down pipe nothing special

The welder you listed will do an ok job if you know how to weld. If you do use this welder you need to make sure that all of your joints are free of contamination and properly beveled before welding. Also you need a gap of at least 3/32" to get full penetration. I would say practice on some scrap pipe first to get your wire speed, gap and heat setting right first.

i had the $100 flux core version. it ------- sucked. tore up with a quickness. once it was beyond the time to fix it i threw it away & burned the leads & transformer down in the backyard to get the 5-10+lbs of copper wire in it. took that to the metal scrap yard and got (seems like) over $30 for it.
No point to the HF welders. The wire units ------- suck. Unreliable and practically no voltage control. The TIG is okay but you can add what $50-100 and get a larger riland with HF.
