What metal for exhaust piping?
What metal makes the most sense for exhaust piping? I live in the NE, so this piping will get its ass dragged thow snow, salt, water and more on a regular basis. If I get an aluminized kit from the racing solutions guy and leave it on, will it be gone in a week? I mean SS seems to be the way to go, but I don't know about alumized piping and other ----. Please enlighten me.
And if spraying the piping with something when I put it on will help, let me know about that too. |
Re: What metal for exhaust piping?
Get the SS kit from Kteller. I live in the NE too and it was only $25 more for stainless.

Re: What metal for exhaust piping?
I live in Colorado and use aluminized steel for my car. Bunch of snow and rain over the last 5 months and not a spec of rust.

Re: What metal for exhaust piping?
I'm in PA and I used aluminized on my Civic and that was on the car for probably 2 years and its still going strong.

aluminized will last for even longer if your willing to hit it with a coat black spray paint every 6 months, and still look nice
