Upstate Parts CNC Cutting

Now that I'm a sponser here I can offer CNC cutting waterjet cutting. The most cost efficent way to do this is to send me a file of what you would like to have cut and Ill get back to you with a price. There is'nt really a minimum order but its always cheaper by piece if there is a higher quantity. Im open to anybodys ideas on what they want to get cut.

This is a quick video of the actual machine we use. It is cutting through 5 sheets of .090" 5052 Aluminum. Very interesting on how it works.

Ehh, there are some interests but noone really interested in having me make anything. I have some ideas on some new products to make. I just have to find some time to do it lol

That would be me.....the tip for the machine is big money and if a piece of aluminum that was just cut sits on top the tip could hit it, runeing the tip and the part. My fingers will heal lol

not if they're missing. i'd guess that that tip and part it is cutting is a lot cheaper to replace than a couple fingers.

You are insane. When we trained at omax, the trainer showed us a book of waterjet related injuries. Evidently when you cut your finger off in a waterjet it cant be sewed back on due to the abrasive contamination! But hey ... those $120 tips are expensive! LOL

Re: Upstate Parts CNC Cutting

Haha, yea....just keep your fingers out of the way when the jet is running and you'll be fine. But it is dangerous

why do you have your hands in there in the first place? ???

The parts that was getting cut has small oblong type cut outs, and the blanks that are cut out will pop out on top of the material and if you don't move them the tip will hit them. Messing up the tip and the project your cutting. Fail

You fail.

Whenever I get ---- water jet cut they always leave a small section uncut, like maybe 25 thou.

Yea, I don't like finishing off that part that didn't cut all the way, makes the metal look different, high dollar parts have to look perfect

Maybe you should invest in a vacuum table.

What kind of pump is it?
We had a Multi-cam 6000 (10'*17') with the 50hp pump on it at school. It was pimp. Cut some aluminum and diamond plate with it. It was hot. Even did some wood & some kind of acrylic too! Sometimes the hopper would jam up with abrasive tho - suckage.

2 1/2" Toyota exhaust flange, eating that ---- up.
