uk vw polo wannabe turbo
hi guys my names steve im from england and am the proud owner of a vw polo, its a 1600cc with 100bhp as standard (for a standard normal aspirated car here thats quite alot lol), so ive had this low pressure turbo kit for some time now and feel that it would fit the polo quite nicely, orignally this kit is used on fiat cinquecentos which are 900cc (if you need to see this funny looking shoebox car google it), ive been told it runs around 3-5psi, i pretty much have the whole kit and its in good condition too, i need to make a manifold and need to know what is the best way to make one, should i buy a normal polo manifold and cut and weld the flange into that? also what kind of weld would this need? i see the hyundai accent that had a complete manifold made for it but looks like a lot of fab to be done and im no fabricator, i do have friends that can weld tho, i also need to make a line to feed the turbo water and oil, im guessing i can t-piece the water feed, and as for the oil ive seen another homemade kit where the oil feed was taken from the oil pressure switch and returned into the sump which was my plan, as that bloke said if the oil pressure light comes on the engines gonna be knackered anyway, anyway any ideas help, info, etc would be great, theres plenty of room in the engine bay too as ive matched it up, it also has a ecu if that makes any difference and its covered 160,000 miles about 240,000ks lol, its never been apart at all, many thansk steve
