Turboback under the gas tank?

Hey what's up guys. I threw a 2.5" turboback together today with the mig and it fits like ---- I just needed something until my racing-solutions 3" kit comes in. I wanted to mimic the RSR GTII and have the 3" exhaust pretty much a straight shot to an elbow to a muffler. The exhaust would sit partially under the gas tank just like the RSR exhaust. I was wondering if this is safe?

What kind of car?

I betcha even if your car was stock height that ---- would bottom out

I know on my crx with a 3" drop, I have less than 4" between the ground and my exhaust

Either run open downpipe like a real man or wait for the kit you already bought to come in, dont waste your time

This is an EG hatch.

I got a 1.8" front 1.6" rear drop. Yeah I'm deffinetly trying to keep the clearance in mind.

I ran open downpipe for a while but now there's a lot more cops around town nabbing everyone just because we're used to having no local cops. The kit I got is just the racing-solutions exhaust kit with a bunch of mendrel bends. What would I be waiting for with the kit I ordered? Are you saying just keep an open downpipe until then? And what shouldn't I waste my time with? Making the 3" exhaust or keeping the 2.5" exhaust?

The 2.5" follows the stock piping route but I missjudged where to weld the hanger near the rear LCA so the muffler hits against the LCA everytime I hit a bump. I have wire wrapped around the exhaust pipe tied up to the rear tow bar to keep it from smacking it. I think even if I redid the hanger it would still hit just because I had ---- bends leftover and threw it together in an hour.

I don't have the pipe yet so I can't mock up the 3" and see if the pipe will clear the two 90 degree bends towards the rear with the LCA and suspension.

as long as its 2.5 in piping and your car isnt slammed, yes it will work. i just took it off my 94 hatch and i went to 3in piping(which wont work)
