Default traction bar questions

Hi there,
I'm currently in the process of designing my own traction bar system for my 4th gen prelude.

I'm wandering if using 4mm stainless steel plates to make the brackets would be strong enough? or would I need something a bit thicker?

Thanks

Ok thanks for the replies.

I think I'll go for some 10mm mild steel then. That should be enough to hold everything together!

I have traction bars that I made with 1/4" mild steel that are in cars that go mid 10's and they haven't bent.
