angled, and with double/triple pass it will work. i've welded 3/16" plate before using this technique (gocart)

how do you double/triple pass it, just pass through the weld once more? i figured when i was gonna make a manifold, id be passing it once on the outside, and once on the inside to priovide sufficient penetration

with stick you MUST clip the slag off (mig to flux is flux to stick for slag) but yeah.
