I already did about a month ago.... i made up some bullshit, and requested to buy a sample to test it out... they are only interested if i would be purchasing in large quantities so they didnt even bother just selling me one...
Theres a bunch of importers in LA.... im going to see if i cant get one of them to get one for me... |

Ebay is now flooded with about 3-4 vendors with them.
I'm going with a unit identical to the Smiley unit, but he doesn't want 160.00 usd to ship it!!! |

You also have no idea how much shipping costs from china to america.
When you order something like in large quantity like a bulk order from any chinese manufacture, the only way to get it over here is by cargo container via boat. That ship will only go to a california port though. So from there, you are stuck with transporting a 20 foot steel container to wherever you are. Unless you have some real financial backing and have plans to actually profit on the units, it's a waste of time to even think about it. |

I actually found that website 6 months ago the day before I bought mine from smiley tools. I searched for it just to find the country of origin.

well my roomate is a trucker if we pay for the gas i could get him to pick it up at the docks and deliver it as far north as frsco since he makes 3 runs there a week

A guy i talked to on ebay once said he had to buy a shipping container full of ---- at a time; dunno if there is any truth in that statement but still. Chinese knock off ---- is out there and easy as pie to find but harder to get. |

Most oversea's companies want a $10K order, even if your just buying go-peds. The only way I've ever come up with to get one at the super low chinese price is to catch them at a trade show and buy their display so they don't have to ship it back after the show.
Good luck finding that $10k to spend on chinese welders so you can battle the other 53,234 resalers on ebay/internet. |
