it works, but i wasent happy with how it stuck out or how i had to move my radiator so close to my turbo so i had new end tanks put on mine for 100 bucks instead of buying some ebay one for 100

speaking of front mounts, what ever happened to Johnny Race Car intercoolers? i cant seem to find them anywhere..

i dont know but those and the cca ones cost like 150 anways so get a srt one cheap and get tanks put on it cost about the same or less

Thanks. Its too bad I never stuck with it though. I ran in to a problem with my manifold putting the turbo inlet right beside one of the end tanks. Originally I was going to make a top mount so this idea would work great. Then I needed something quick and changed my mind on the manifold and the whole project changed from there. I'll put up some pictures and a video in GD sometimes this week once I get all my gauges hooked up and make a good basemap for the car.

Oh guys. If anyone wants an SRT4 intercooler give me a shout and make an offer. I'm selling mine.

So wait, your saying It's not going to work if you have a typical manifold setup, like a log or an HF, or cast or something? I'd like to use one of these intercoolers, but I don't think I'm going the top mount route. Think I could still pull it off with either a cast, or HF + T3?

thats pretty much what happen to me, the one outlet was pointing up right next to the compressor and i didnt feel like making a curly pipe or somthing stupid, ontop of that after moving my radiator over a few inches it would have pretty much been right where the downpipe should be.

Something like that. You could probably get away with it if you use a lod manifold where the turbo is high up and close to the engine. Turbo size has a lot to do with it too. Also depends on the model of the car and room in the engine bay. I did this because I thought I'd be running a top mount so having the intercooler back door style would be very beneficial. but then I changed my design and now I'm stuck with an SRT4 intercooler. I'm sure I'll find a local to buy it up, then again not a lot of locals do custom turbo setups around here and most of the cars are riced up. Its good knowing you have one of the fastest imports in the city.
