some recent toyota fab

Re: some recent toyota fab
Not gaps and fitment so much as stepping outside of a comfort zone and learning new skills. Its just as simple as that. Every weld on there that wier HAS previously encountered is great. Any weld that looks like he was practicing it, duh, hadn't tried that before. Just a hundred more things he'll know to avoid before hand, and recognize correct and incorrect things while under the hood to deal with a different type of weld.
If it was a honda manifold it would have been perfect. You are sure of the final placements, cuts, welds, shrinkage & expansion; you make it in sub-assemblies to avod welds that are outside of your comfort zone or experience. Stepped outside of the comfort zone, learned things. Downpipe looks good. Not helping you is missing a car to fab with. You make a honda manifold, you center the thing on the flange -> done. You go work on something else, you're expected to dodge things without knowing what there is to dodge. Sucks.

Yeah, its a stock 4EFTE manifold, but its going on a 5SFE.... 1991 Paseo. Thats all I ever said it was for so I can see how he would say its for a 5E.
Fit was great, quality was the usual WEIR perfection.
Aaron, I shoulda sent you the cat delet the guy ordered for the same car... you could made a jig for them and sold them as a set.

What kind of price is it for that manifold?
