some recent stuff i've welded *pics*
ep3 seats into an eg civic... sorry i don't have pics of them installed in the car. drill out the rivets on the front mounts and cut the welds that hold them onto the rails. reweld them back on spinning them 180 degrees.
setup for tacking in place:

the factory welds on those brackets only have two spot welds on one bracket and on the other side it only has one spot weld. 
they also have a rivet through the middle of the bracket into the rail as well- where i think most of the strength comes from. i'd trust these welds over the orignal assemble which can be taken apart in about 3 minutes. i really wouldn't want to cut these off as they are welded on all 4 sides and it would be kinda messy.

The welds are looking good. I've seen a lot of improvement in your work lately.
