Snap-On Mig Welder, good deal?
I found an older Snap-on mig for sale locally, it's a 140 amp, 120 volt continuous duty cyle wire feed with regulator and gauges, just not a tank. Has .030" tip and wire but can run .023"-.045".
The guy is asking $750 for it, which seems good to me, since new snap on 140AMP welders are like $2500+ but I really don't know a whole lot about welders yet, so I thought I would ask. Any help would be great, thanks. |

I have the 260 and its a really nice machine. The 140 IMO is just too small.

750 for a used 140amp mig?
ouch |
Re: Snap-On Mig Welder, good deal?
I have the Lincoln 135 mig and I paid $489 shipped with a cart and a cover. $750 for a used mig that is only 140 amp capable is excessive IMO even if it does have a SnapOn label.

Re: Snap-On Mig Welder, good deal?
miller makes the snapon welder. Go buy a miller, the best welder on the market. For 750 you can find a good used stick/tig machine.

Re: Snap-On Mig Welder, good deal?
---- snap on! using their tools angers me... most of the hand tools at work are snap on and they are so frustrating to use.
as for 700+ for a used welder ---- that.... but a miller/hobart or even a lincon brand new and spend the money you saved on a gas tank |
Re: Snap-On Mig Welder, good deal?
I wouldn't. Go buy a 220volt for that price!
