Single turbo tube header Designs

1 Attachment(s)
Started sketching a new header design for a dakota. Not that im going to use, but for another individual who wants something built, and they have a fairly large budget. Planning on using 304 or possibly 314 stainless tubing. Only thing im not sure about is using the slip fit collectors. Are they bad to use with the back pressure from the turbo? Should I just use the weld on collectors?

First page is the side and top view. coming out from the flange there will be kickout for the tubes to clear one another, and 90 degree kick downs to feed the collector. You can get an idea from the drawings. Second headers is the drivers side that exits in the front section of the block, and a crossover over connects the two under the engine following the cross member. Note: these are not too scale.

Also if there anyone thats good at solidworks and wants to try and draw these 3D, be my guest. Someday Ill get the time to learn it myself, but until now graph paper will do.

Primaries are going to be 1 5/8". Collectors are going to be 2.5"

Header flange is 19" total

Centerline spacing between first port and second port is 7". Centerline spacing between 2nd and 3rd port is 2". Centerline spacing between 3rd and 4th port is 7"

I would like at least 1" of spacing before the pipes bend down for clearance for bolts.

Thanks.

if ur customer has the money, go v-band. still easy to disassemble, and very good sealing
