Which Simley to get 30a or 40a
I am looking to get a smiley all-in-one unit, i was wondering if I should get a 30a or 40a
I will be using it mostly for intercooler piping, manifolds and the plasma side to cut flange and other random stuff? I also e-mail the smiley guy and he told me in a few days he will have a ac/dc all-in-one unit for about 800 bucks what would you do? thanks richie |
Re: Which Simley to get 30a or 40a
30amp should be good. don't get the ac/dc, mpt wprth it, works like crap from what i've read.
By the time you're welding something heavy enough to need the 40amp, you'll want a higher quality machine. |

3/8" half-decent cut. A little clean-up.

I have the 30 amp and it works well. I would never plasma over 1/4 with it though.

Ya, I really don't use the plasma, not when I have a Hypertherm 380 in the shop.
