Re: real home made turbo???

if you wanted to make a centerfugal supercharger you could do it. You would just need to use gears insted of some bullshit straight pully off the shaft. thats retarded.

Re: real home made turbo???

exactly ^^ all centrifugal superchargers (turbo style superchargers) use a gearbox to further reduce the ratio in conjunction with the smaller belt pulley..

Interesting input guys that centrifugal supercharger you guys were talking about intrigues me :y. I mite just try that if I can find the parts, it seems to be easier and cheaper than buy a $500+ turbo or a $1000+ supercharger kit. the fabracation should'nt be a problem between me, my uncle, my Gpa and a buddy of mine I sure we could rig something up. Backing way up to the begining what's this Procharger thing? Just curouis but what is it? It's something like them peice of crap Turbonators or what?

y not spin a belt fromm the crank to the center of a gear with a larger outer(one piece) gear meshing with a smaller gear on the shell, you could dbl the rpm.

Re: real home made turbo???

take a peice of paper and draw a small gear on the left
then draw a large gear meshing to it on the right
then draw a circle in the middle of the big gear
then draw the crank over on the right
run the belt from the crank to the center of the dbl gear

depending on the size of the gears u use u could dbl, triple or make the final speed what ever u want

84,00 or 126,00

them numbers at the end there is that the estamated cost or the rpms or what its the 84,00 or 126,00?

yeah and you could use gears off of anything..i was kinda throwin this idea around a while back and had some transmission gears off a honda lyin around that would work..just make a housing for them..one right on the shaft of the compressor wheel, then the other one on the shaft of the pulley connecting to the crank..you could really have that thing spinnin that way..
