Painting welding helmet

So I want to get My new speedglas hood airbrushed at a local shop(http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread...int&id=1563655) but I don't know if its worth it. Would high quality automotive paint with clear stand up to that kind of heat?

krylon fusion, and acylic based enamel/oil/laquer paints work WONDERS on non-metals, come out glassy

I would paint it myself but i have not skills when it comes to that kind of stuff... I have some ideas and if eddie does it, it will be ridiculous... I was thinking about having it look like there is sheets of metal riveted in some spots and a nice colorful tig bead in some others... hard to explain but eddie is very VERY good with an airbrush, and I will let him work his magic.

Half the cars on HMT aren't even painted, and you wanna paint a helmet? Is your garage floor epoxy'd too? lol.

It won't be for personal use, I wor at DMI in West Fargo, ND welding on Those big ass white wind towers that you see all around the US, ... We have 75 employees on each shift with the exact same helmet laying around the shop, I want a way to have mine stand out a bit, without painting it hot pink...

It sounds like your helmet is going to be the one everyone is looking to take home when you aren't looking.
