Who gets to tune it Aaron? I might have to make the short trip up and do it for free if you let me

Also, are you going to be running AEM?

Change these bushings now with either the nismo, or solid aluminumbushings. the go out rather quickly and make the rear end slightly unstable

i'll hold you to this chris. yes, i'll be going with the aem ems 1052 since the engine came with the wrong ecu. i already have a zeitronix so i don't think it is necassary to get the 1052U... what do you think?

thanks for the input... this is what i'm after with this thread! i want feedback and ideas so i am not going back after everything is done to fix stuff. i was considering changing out these bushings, but i was also thinking it might be a good idea to leave the softer one's in so there is a bit more flex in the rear end just to absorb some of the stresses maybe since it is being fabricated from nothing... i'm not sure... i will probably just swap them out, there should be enough give in the rest of the bushings connecting the spindles to handle the stess. i'm still undecided.

How long is it from the shift **** to crank pulley? Looks kinda long to have it come out the stock shifter hole and still sit behind the crossmember. Should have it sit behind the front wheels and make it a midship engine. Just mount the seat back alittle further and get a extend steering wheel hub adapter and some wood blocks on the pedals. :P

Yeah 1052 box is fine...I'm not a big fan of the Zeitronix but I'm even less of a fan of the AEM. Let me know before you buy a box...I can get them at a decent price if you dont find one for a great deal used.

Either way I am game to help you out and be a part of it. I'll come up there if you want or trailer it down and we'll throw it on my dyno

I suggested nismo or aluminum because those are really your only options. Nissan won't sell the OEM bushings seperately, you have to buy a new subframe. If you dont change them, at least look into spacers that compress the bushing making it stiffer and prolong the life. The oem busshings tend to go out around 50-80k.
Oh and I was serious about the r200 differential sucking and you should sell it to me.

i was thinking delrin would be a good option, although i'm not sure i've got any that large a diameter on hand. i may do some aluminum bushings with a delrin insert. i've not heard anything bad about the vlsd other than beyond 500hp it starts to get weak. :P

i don't know if this is a stupid question or if it's possible but would u able to mover the car back a little. like line it up to where it would sorda sit in the engine bay. go so we could get an idea of how far back the shifter is really going to sit. cause it looks like u will have to almost sit in the hatch LoL.

but nice build so far. i want to see more pictures.
