Yeah, worked good. I need to take the turbo off one of these days and see if the valve is still alive too. I checked about a month after I started using it and it seemed fine. But 6 months later it could be pretty crispy heh

i know i'm a bit late to the party, but did this ever get working? did you manage to get the rod to seal, or wasn't it an issue?

---- its been a while since I was here... Sorry about that.

I never had problems with leaking around the shaft, nothing ever seemed to blow past, however I am only running 14 psi.
Last year I machined a ball n spring boost controller for it

I set up a more elaborate vac line set up, I can't remember how I ran the controller and my check valves (Cars been sitting for a while) but I was able to improve my spool up by about 2-300rpm from the old bleeder style controller and vac line set up I had. Still never ran a spring on the actuator, I just relied on vacuum and boost to close it and open it.

Never imagined it would last this long and work as good as it has, especially when I started to ---- around with the control lines to it. I did a shitty job on this thing two years ago and it worked great, anyone who puts a little more care into it should have good results too.

Thanks, it's been a while since I drove the z or worked on it. Spending too much time making other people parts. Almost forget what boost feels like...
Need to change that, at least the new daily will be boosted.
