My first collector :)

My welding still sucks a bit, but didn't turn out to bad.
Should I try and weld the inside of the cone or just leave it be?

looks good, dont weld the inside, no point, might die grind the seams inside a little smooth if you can.

I weld the tips together on the inside. I know no one else does but if you have high enough EGT's they could become brittle and break off.

I'm making a "ramhorn" for a local with a b-series and a few mani's for 3TC's
http://www.eville140.com/mani/log1.jpg

I spent the biggest part of the morning figuring out the cuts and making a jig to hold the pipe. The cuts where made with a harbor freight 4*6 bandsaw

I'm not sure how I lived without a tig welder. I made another one last night but it is not as pretty, I wanted to practice welding aluminum some also so I figured I would just make an aluminum merge collector. lol I just used some scrap pipe I had laying around. Just remeber I am not claiming to be good at this or anything. And welding alulminum always seems to kick my butt.

Don't let his modesty fool you, he's good, I can vouch since half the parts on my turbo kit were welded by him 8)
