My DIY log
Well my shitty SSAC manifold broke(go fiqure), and I was short on cash. So I went out and bought some 90 degree fittings and 2 tee fittings, then hacked up the old ssac manifold for the flanges. And this is what I got. I had to use a thin piece of tailpipe section for the part from the log to the turbo flange, but I kept blowing through it, so thats why it looks so shitty, that and I suck at welding. Doubt this one will crack though.

Re: My DIY log
Thanks guys, I got the Tees & 90s from an industiral pipe supply company. And part of the reason I got the SSAC manifold was that it was one of the few for a b series w/ a DSM(14b) turbo flange.

For the ultra in flat rate log, do it true hmt style and use cast steel 1.5" gas pipe fittings ;D
Once it was welded, it never budged...even stuck a hoist too it and lifted the car off the ground, still never gave. ;) Attachment 25209 |
