Looks really good. Al is a pain to weld.

BTW what color tungsten do you use?

I use red and gray. Green seems to melt way too fast.

I can't believe you are the guy sticking his hands in a waterjet. If you can weld like that - what the hell are you thinking? Very nice work.

Pure (green) is meant to be balled or tapered & balled for A/C at 50-50 on old TR machines.
For an inverter power supply and a dcen balance do not ball a pure tungsten. use a normal trunctiated point on a:
Ceriated (Orange)
Lanthanated (Black 1% Gold 1.5% Blue 2%)
Thoriated (Red)
Zirconiated (Brown) For AC welding non ferrous metals that CAN NOT be allowed tungsten inclusions of any amount.

Thoriated is radioactive and accumulates in the lungs. It has the highest working temperature of the lot, but the general consensus is that you shouldn't be around it all the time. Okay for amatures, not okay for professionals.

using an inverter is weird with thoriated on AC, it just kinda erodes and is nice to concentrate your heat
