modifying standard manifold to suit turbo?

any one give me an idea of where to cut to weld flange on for turbo?and do you need to put an angle on the flange to allow for turbo clearance? thanks.

what are you talking about. what manifold on what engine in what car with what turbo. you seem to like to leave your questions very vague

well you either have a hf manifold a y7 manifold or are about to make a drain pipe turbo manifold

DA-Teg 06-13-2009 08:56 PM

are you talkin about 'offsetting' the turbo plate on the manifold and somewhat rotating the flange toward the front of the car so the turbo leaves more of a space between the engine block?

take a pic of what you want lol

I've people use the first half of a two piece manifold and make a topmount setup out of it

sorry for being vaigue i have a y8 manifold with the cat attached to the manifold if i cut the cat off i wanted to know what position to weld the flange for the turbo

its for a y8 engine and yes i was wondering what angle would i put on the flange to give me a bit more clearance between the block and turbo
