Manifold I made this weekend

Not to bad for a hobbiest. this si the frist one of BMC "Premium" head flanges I have ever used. Man was it ever nice. $50 by itself, but darn nice.

It is a top mount for a nissan 240 with a sr20 swap

Oh wow... that looks amazing. Would you be willing to make a topmount similar to that for my LSVTEC? I can give you measurement... man, that looks solid.

Just curious as to what makes that a "premium" head flange as opposed to a regular one?

Well, im not sure if this answers your question, but a flange that i would sell from a laser cut machine will function just fine and look ok, but if you want "premium" looks and really fine cut, cnc is the way to go. Whats next on the list randy?

;D ta pimp ---- man i only wish i was that good :ysoooon!!!!!

Eville140 05-11-2006 07:01 PM

Re: Manifold I made this weekend

The premium flanges from BMC have some extra cuts on the backside, and the ports are cnc'd from what ever shape the port at the heads is to round. So that you don't have to squish the pipe to fit the port.

Here is something I worked on/off the past couple days, looks pretty pimp :) But way to much work.

You have a mock up car for those? Are you making them non A/C compatible? Be careful, The bleeder valve for the clutch sits in a weird place. Post up some more pics when your done.
