Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.
Are they locking casters?
|
Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.
no little petal, so no
|
Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.
yeah i got 2 locking casters and put them on one side, so i didn't have to walk around to lock them.
|
Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.
i wonder what max weight capacity is.
call up a bunch of your fat friends and have them jump in there one at a time. |
Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.
i think it would depend on the casters. these are just cheap 150 lb casters.
|
Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.
i gotta say that is pretty ------- cool
|
Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.
nig can weld O0
|
Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.
Man I wish I could weld as good as that.
|
Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.
it surprised me that there wasn't any dirt in the welds, sense it is mild steel. i built this in about 20 min so i didn't care about warping or heating the ---- out of the caster plates.
oh and this was all 1/8th inch wall tube/pipe. using 1/16th er70s2 rod. |
Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.

If you look carefully you can see he removed the scale, this is a necessary part of welding steels, but often missed. Remember, much like paintwork, the key to making good welds is proper preparation. |

Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.
Ack, I wasn't paying attention and somehow missed the fact that you were the guy that built it. :8
The reason YOU didn't see any "dirt" in the welds has nothing to do with the fact that it is mild steel. |
Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.

Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.
damnit now i gotta build one.
|
Re: made a little stand/cradle for my car.
Sweeeet.
For a few dollars more you can get some swaged tube, from Afco or the like, and make the track width adjustable so it's not just ED-chassis specific. You know you're going to have more than one project in your life. :6 |
