Re: Made a couple aluminum catch cans at work!!! -8 AN's and ErThang!
I don't think he needs a baffle since its not a breather thank.
why no breather anyways? |
Re: Made a couple aluminum catch cans at work!!! -8 AN's and ErThang!
So is that just supposed to vent out the small hole at the bottom?
|
Re: Made a couple aluminum catch cans at work!!! -8 AN's and ErThang!
Its a catch can, not a breather.

Re: Made a couple aluminum catch cans at work!!! -8 AN's and ErThang!
Does it not need somewhere for air to flow? I wouldn't think oil vapor would flow into a sealed box very well? I think I'm missing something.

Re: Made a couple aluminum catch cans at work!!! -8 AN's and ErThang!
pcv line goes to one side, other goes back to intake pre-turbo. oil falls down, not up
seems pretty simple of a concept |
Re: Made a couple aluminum catch cans at work!!! -8 AN's and ErThang!

Re: Made a couple aluminum catch cans at work!!! -8 AN's and ErThang!
I thought the purpose of a catch can of that style is to allow your engine to breathe and release crankcase pressure, what is the purpose of catching the oil in a can other than the oil pan if its not releiving crankase pressure? a catch can that goes between the the pcv line to the intake to catch blowby on a low power motor will make more sense than a can just to catch oil from the valve cover. not hating by any means, I like the work you done on the cans, but a breather will make it usefull.

Re: Made a couple aluminum catch cans at work!!! -8 AN's and ErThang!
I think you should, if you can make these cans for a fraction of the price I paid for mine you will control the catch can world. there are no patent on them so free game. I am surprized wier arent making these already, just change the design a little.
