Made a catch can

Taking a beginners welding class in high school right now. First project was to make a water proof box. After I finished that just made a bracket and put some pipes onto it. Using a filter i had lying around in my garage. Total cost = $0.

All welded up

ok to weld, but a better tool to cut with instead. I actually liked it.

how much does it weigh?

BoostForLife 10-25-2008 06:56 PM

Re: Made a catch can

probably about 1-2 pounds. it's made out of 4"X4" pieces that are 3/16 thick.

I like this calculator http://www.suppliersonline.com/resea...WeightCalc.asp According to the calculator just the plates weigh 3.14 lbs. I did not include the nipples

Re: Made a catch can

still better than having oil all over and leaking on the ground when parked. I don't really care about weight. It seems really light to me, probably because of weight training classes I took.

$15 for the whole semester is a very small price to pay for the knowledge and practice I will get out of this class.
