Lookin' to buy a welder.
I want a welder, I want to start welding up mani's and exhaust's, lookin for some recomendations. I am looking to spend up to $550.
I cant have one with more than a 115V supply.
How do I convert to a 230V supply?

Re: Lookin' to buy a welder.
You can run it off the dryer outlet. They are usually rated for 30amps so watch what the full load draw of the welder is.As far as what one I cant rally help ya there as I have never owned a welder worth more than $300.Check with your local welding supply places and also the community college to see if anyone is upgrading and has a good used unit for sale.

This question is only posed 3 times a day on fabrication boards. Go read something instead of just asking.

I should just save up for a good miller welder with a good warranty.
