A little CRX fluxcore floorboard repair action.
Yeah Ive had this car for about 6 months now and it really started to bother me that anyone in the passengers seat had a good chance of loosing their foot. So I took a piece of 3/16 steel plate that I had bought from tractor supply forever ago and put it to use.
this is how it was I forgot to take a pic before I got started so I just layed the cut out rusted piece over the new.
This is the new piece in all it's fluxcored glory.
The under coating on the car was a real bitch to clean off underneath It kept wanting to catch the car on fire while I was welding but after a few trys I got a system down. Ide get an area hot with the welder and scrap the undercoating off with a putty knife and then I'd wire brush it real good after everything got warm it got easier and I didn't burn my car to the ground. I also had a large bucket of water ready to go as well.

you gotta stop running so much NOS man. or that new floor board is gonna come flying the ---- off too. not to mention you'll blow the welds on the intake manifold.
good work none the less.
