little bored at work today.. bike mod
 

So its saturday, I have 4 hours on my time card and we are bored as ---- here in the shop. This sellsmen has been storing his 12speed mountain bike in our shop for like 6 months now and our service manager keeps reminding him to take it home. Well today I thought we would have a little fun with his bike.

welded in a 20in of 1 1/2 mild steel tubing with our l-tec migmaster 250, heated up the lower bar to match... Painted flat black and added a HMT sticker. LOL

you should of seen the guys face :S

how much money you got? its stronger than it was before, its 1/4 thick pipe and i slid it over the stock pipe a bit for re-inforcement.

He just stared at it and said "WTF"... Oh well, I think he was more upset I cut all the cables off, they wouldnt reach ;)

I seen a demonstration once from one of the salesman where that topic was brought up. He pulled the top drawer out and climbed up in it and stood on it. It didn't tip and the drawer didn't flex. :o Those fuckers are sturdy. :y

My top drawer can can have over 350lbs of ---- in it before it will bend. I sit on it all the time, and even with it fully loaded and all the drawers open theres no way that fucker would tip.. However, my old cart had both drawers open and it tipped over in the middle of the shop one time. Shot all my ------- tools everywhere.

Maybe next saturday I'll modify the bars, it was pretty funny tonight.. I rode the bike up to the store bought a case of Busch for our lot trainee tech. Strapped it on the top bar and rode back, it was a classic Everett maneuver. I've never felt so trashy in my life 8)

haha the snapon tool chests I have in the garage will fall over in an instant. :P Open a couple drawers and you better watch it. I guess that's what you expect from a 25ish year tool chest.

thats reminds me, my buddy and I always thought it would be funnier than ---- to weld someones door shut on their car, then finish it off all nice, paint it to match (obviously alot of time on yout hands, and the owner on vacation or something) so theres no seam. Could you imagine how confused someone would be?!?! :S

one of my freinds has a matco box and he was doing the "hey look I can sit on the drawer because I paid 12k for this thing", and one of the slides broke. The tool guy didn't want to replace it because, he told him he was sitting on it, but the dick head tool truck guy jumped on the drawer himself to show how awsome it was when he was selling it

one of the guys here ar work got his Matco box fucked up because the stupid clean-up guy was woving it and the drawers weren't locked...well, they all opened up and the box tipped over. Our matco guy is pretty cool tho and he was going to take car of everything...but we made the clean-up guy pay for it anyways. You just shouldn't be so stupid to roll a box around and let all the drawers open up...and not slide them back in before moving it any further...oh well. Not my box.

i still like the matco box over the snap-on but matco doesnt let you finance ( atleast in nc) yet.
