KRB FAB FOR T3H WIN!

My manifold, downpipe, and dumptube were all bought from them (back when they were sponsers)...Popped open my hood today and my dumptube welds are completely fucked...how the hell do u have dumptube welds crack? ...seems like those welds should be the least likely to crack because of the lack of any weight on them

its ok to drive with out it but you do loose power when you let the exhaust gasses stay int eh engine bay as opposed to having it route under the oil pan.

Just blast it together with the mig. That thin tubing is to blame.

"There is lifetime warrantee on the system as long as you own it. Please let
us know if there's anythign else we can help you with."

From an old email...hopefully they honor it, but they seem to have dropped off the face of the earth..they have dropped their sponsorships everywhere pretty much

Was the dumptube connected to the downpipe?

Thats usually what happens to these backyard fabricators. Sure they can promise a lifetime warantee but its really just the lifetime of the company. Which for most of them, isn't that long. :-\

Re: KRB FAB FOR T3H WIN!

This is what happens when people care more about looks than performance and reliability. The weld next to it LOOKS good...but it's pretty small. I'd have put a larger bead on that stuff...and at least tacked it inside, if not welded it solid.

If you don't care about the looks, drive it to the local muffler shop and have them mig it up...and it will hold for a while.

Re: KRB FAB FOR T3H WIN!

thanks for the offer cs...if they flake on me, ill def get back to you on that

if the metal is too thin, and they wont reweld it for me, would it make sense to just get a new one from a better fab company so this sort of thing doesnt happen again?

Anyone?

Get the mild steel one redone (i noticed some holes on the other weld on the dump as well) or should i play it safe and buy a new stainless one?

Take the option of contacting KRB out of the picture. He fell off the map and won't do anything anymore. He left me with about 10 manifolds pending. ::)

If you want a stainless one, let me know, could do 1 in no time at all. If you want it rewelded, I vouch for CSaddict, hes a great guy to deal with and hell fix it up right.
