made this out of a few bends i had layin around for a friend of mine paid me 50 bones for the intake and filter, welded , ground smooth and painted with dupli-color ceramic paint should last huh

welders with the gas definately leave a much cleaner weld when I had a friend weld my exhaust for me he didn't have the gas and it came out bad looking but I don't care what it looks like as long as it works

you do not know how to weld those are cold joints and are sugared up, you did not get the heat right and the angle or the welding lead was at to shallow of an angle

Holy god, I think I'm gonna take a picture tuesday of the fluxcore weld I pulled off a week ago at work. It was .035" with a Lincoln weldpak deal that we rent - doesn't even look like those things you call welds. :-X

I wish I had taken pictures of the 18ga stainless I welded too - fluxcores work great if you know what you're doing. :S

I take it NOBODY cleaned their metals? All you need is a grinding wheel to remove rust, wire wheel for paint, and anti-splatter spray to keep the splatter down to almost zero. I'm not sure if I can really laugh at this...god knows I tried.
