You said ebay turbo.....

How is the turbo holding up? was it a knock off turbo? If so I would be worried about it

What type of turbo is it? I've been messing around with finding turbos that would work okay with a stock engine. I've found that these turbos should work well:

K26 (off of an audi)
Areocharger 66 200 (this would be perfect but its like 4 grand just for the turbo)
Garrett T3 Super60
Mitsubishi 20G (not the greatest but will work)

 

yes, what turbo is it and when does it spool up. is it still running?

 

Wow I haven't been here in forever, but I saw Jeep turbo stuff in google searches so I had to pop in...wooooo.

 

what are the specs on the turbo? looking at something similar on my xj.

 

I also toyed the idea of turbocharge/supercharge my xj vs. doing an engine swap...
