ok take in mind here, previous to this I have had no more experience than welding in gr.9 metal shop

Using a miller stick welder

first try was the washer to angle iron then small piece to big piece.




after a bunch of ------- around and learning this came up



actually sticking pieces together

and ten rods later this was the result






and if you hate my welds this is for you




Notes?/Tips??

 

you need to steady your hand. get practice. depth, and bead look alright. ALSO stop doing the start, slow down, speed up, slow down with the electrode when you weld.

 

i hate your welds more than anyone. more ****.

The only way to get better is to practice. way back when i was just learning to stick weld i just took a plate and ran as many beads as i possibly could fit


not too long you should get decent beads
