Home depot aluminum pipe
I wanted to make some chassis bracing stuff and I saw some round piping and square piping at Homedepot. Anybody here used them before?

do they have bends? what size pipes do they carry?

Re: Home depot aluminum pipe
Ive used their electrical piping for my charge pipes. Not sure about a roll cgae or chassis but it could work, dont see why not as long as its thick enough.

I intend to use them for strut tower bars and stuff. Its about the size of your shower curtain tube. I also saw 90 degree bends for electrical conduits but they have huge radius bend but its cheap though.

The small stuff isn't big enough. It's like ebay bars.
Lowes / Home Depot carry a lot of galvanized /aluminized mild steel pipe. 2 - 2 1/2". The mandrel bends are 2" EMT mild steel galv pipe. As he said, large radious. About $7 each. They look like this: Attachment 34929 They have 8-12' long 2" - 2 1/2" pipe for $8-15usd also. Generally pretending to be fence posts, and pipe outside in the garden center. Just be sure you weld outside & just take the time to wire-brush the finish off so you don't get sick... It takes a few seconds to knock that ---- off. |
Re: Home depot aluminum pipe
For the price that Home Depot charges for 4 feet you could by 20 feet from a metal supply place.
