hmm question

I've got some sheets of 3/16" mild steel plate left over from building the last house. (Contractor)
Is it thick enough to weld some weld els on & make a turbo, or N/A manifold out of?

Re: hmm question

It's fine, just make sure the welds penetrate nicely, and that you don't warp the plate.

Or if you have a lot, just weld two together. 3/8 > 3/16

It is on the thin side, but it will work. Good manifolds use about 1/2" flanges or larger, but 3/16th will work as long as you don't warp it.

Sounds good thanks guys.
Unfortunately, they don't make flanges for v6 Toyotas.
