help me with turbo clearing tranny!!
Well for the basics. 00 ek manual, d16y8, 14b turbo with stock downpipe, greddy Mani custom adapter with about 2" in-between mani and turbo, well I have the intake side on the passanger side, keeping ac/ps. So the intake housing is hitting the nipple on the tranny hydro mount.. I was woundering if I could shave the little stub on the mount where the bleed nipple is and put a set screw kinda deal or flat scerew where the nipple was. ? Then when it comes to bleeding the clutch put the nipple back in.. I only need like less than a inch, I would make the adapter so it was more to the right but then the down pipe hits ac.. any ideas guys? Thx a lot! Would send pix but can't..

Bleeder screws holes have regular threads (ex. 8x1.25), that are not made for sealing high pressure fluids. Bleeder screws have a taper on the end that sits in a taper seat to seal off the fluid.
You can grind the nipple off the head of your bleeder screw to get more room, or get a shorter bleeder bolt. The catch is that the shorter bleeder bolt has to bottom out on the taper, not on the body of the slave cylinder.
Would clocking the compressor housing fix the issue? You have to remove that stupid dowel in the 14b's compressor housing to clock it. I just tack welded a similar diameter bolt to the dowel, then yanked the bolt/dowel out with pliers. Could you possibly grind a little on the compressor housing? Pictures would definitely help...
