heading to Abilene,, TX...what to do?
 

I'll be visiting Abilene TX soon for work. I was looking at classifieds on Craigslist and can't find an Abilene section. Do those people typically post in the Dallas section?...or what city would they post in?

Anything I should check out while there?

There is nothing to do in Abeline.

When will you be down, i'll be in Lubbock saturday-tuesday (it's about 3 hours from there). I'd love to meet you since you're the one that inspired me to do my own welding :p
I planned on making a trip to DeLeon Texas (tiny little town) while I was down as my best friend from HS was burried there :-/ I'd be going through Abeline on my way there.

come down here to houston I there are plenty of job openings and I might even be able to swing yo u a couple manifolds when I am in a crunch

I"m in Abilene now, and it'a pretty boring...but I'm really busy working all the time....good OT money.

The company pays for meals and expenses, so all I've got time to do is work and eat whatever good food I can find. I'm working at the Tige boat plant...not too bad of a place.

We did find a titty bar last night, called Cloud 9. There was ONE cute chick there.

I don't know that I'll be able to make a trip to Canada...unless you're buying!!! :)

If I remember, Abeleine has some world famous BBQ places there, ask around and you'll get lead there. It looks like a shitty little place, but it will be the best BBQ you have had.

I'm back home. I did find a killer steakhouse to eat at.

I didn't do much while there.

I flew back home on Saturday about 5pm, and my wife's water broke at 1am Sunday....so I got a little baby boy now. It was just luck that I got back for it! I had to cancel my trip to Atlanta, that was supposed to be today and tomorrow..but will still be going to China sometime in the future.

so why do you travel soo much, just to relax or you teach people welding, or do you do specialized welding.
