Default gas torch wedling miled steel?

Hi I am pretty good at gas torch welding and was wondering if i would be able to use to fabricate the charge and exhaust piping. One of my mates said it will be too weak but he doesn't know much lol so came here to ask you guys if it is good enough for this.

thanks

just because something works, doesnt mean it will hold up. if you can get it to work, coathanger style go for it.

you tell me, you're the one welding it. just because people bsfc weld up up manifolds and use hardware to take up the gaps doesnt mean they wont hold. maybe itll work, i dont see why not.

Welding it with a torch would hold fine....but welding that thin of metal would be tricky unless you've got a lot of practice.

if you are good at it then you should know what your welds can do. im not too bad at it, but i think it will be hard to do. i have never tried pipe, only flat metal
