Default First Mani need some help

Well i am swamped with work ( at work and on the car) but last night I was mocking up everything and it looks like my mani (no name cast mani) is angling the turbo so the DP will not clear my new rad which is mounted on my JK traction bar...and i don't want to rig the rad or make a restricting DP to clear it so I am going to attempt my first mani....

I'd like to make a short tubular since I believe it is one of the easier to make and flow better than a log, could people please suggest the type of material to use, I figure steel but what gauge (16?) and what ID(diameter) 1.5? 1.75? also i know there is a good link on how to make a colector, how would it be on a Short tubular?

I already have a head flange and T3 flang and will be using a hobart 180 so i just need to get the piping and i should be ready to go...

Sorry i am going to devote tonight to searching on my own but any help would be great since I am in a crunch now since and want to speed up the process...back to work, thanks...Matt

Check and make which way the turbo's supposed to mount on that angled manifold. I've seen a few manifolds that are angled so the compressor side will face the passenger side of the car, and just barely clear the block. I'd check out every possible way it mounts before going through the hassle of a custom manifold.

wish it was that easy if i flip it the compressor will be through th rad :P I believe the mani would be made for a AC/PS friendly teg so the flange is over towards the passanger side more and since its in a B swapped EF and my rad is now down and back a tad because of the JK raction bar it won't work...I'm tired of riging things on this car and trying to clean it up a bit, make the correct mani will save a lot of hassel later so I'll just do it now I need to learn sometime

Might as well build one then. I ran into the same problems with most of my turbos too though. If only I bought an EG hatch instead...man the amount of room in there even with a b-series swap :P
